A collaboration with True West Film Center in Healdsburg, this all-day, week-long camp is for kids 7-12.
With morning sessions focused on improv, campers will experience what makes improv work: listening, working together, and letting our creative minds flow. It’s about saying, “Yes, And!” to one another and adapting to others’ ideas instead of pushing our own. By the end of the week students will create scenes in front of each other and bring home games to play with family and friends.
Each afternoon, campers will dive into short filmmaking, exploring creative ways to bring their stories to life. By serving different roles throughout the filmmaking process, each participant gains media literacy skills while developing collaboration and communication skills needed to produce their own short films.
